Shoes and dress code

Bare feet or socks are required for all dances classes at the studio. Tap shoes are required for tap and should be ordered before the beginning of the session. We recommend Capezio or Bloch only.

Comfortable clothes can be worn, fitted attire for ballet and modern classes, jeans for tap only.

Show information

Students have the opportunity to perform in two studio shows per year, December and June. Dates are announced at the beginning of the session.

We do not require expensive costumes to be purchased but rather will pick a color or theme so that all dancers are able to express their individual style.

We offer classes to students ages 3 through adult in Jazz, Tap, Modern, Creative Movement, Jazz Funk, Choreography and Ballet.

performance Opportunities

We have teen and adult performing groups rehearsing weekly for intermediate to advanced dancers interested in furthering their training. These groups are by invitation or audition. Email Sasha for more information!

About Expansion Arts Dance Studio

Founded in 2015 by Sasha Richardson, Expansion Arts is a non-competitive Modern Jazz based dance studio focusing on technique, creativity, and individuality. Strong emphasis is placed on correct alignment, injury prevention, and overall wellness.
